class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Jaime Rodr\u00edguez was born in La Union, Colombia, and grew up in a musical family in the city of Cali. At the age of twelve, he began his musical studies at the Cali Conservatory, continuing them at Universidad del Valle. In 1983 he began his studies in Latin percussion, composition and arrangement at the Conservatory of Rotterdam. After graduating, he founded the salsa orchestra Rumbat\u00e1 in 1990, since he serves as musical director.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>He has composed and arranged a lot of pieces for the orchestra and presented two special programs touring the Dutch theatres: the suite \u201cCuatro Estaciones de America Latina\u201d to commemorate 10 years of existence of Rumbat\u00e1 and \u2018Cantos del Caribe\u2019. He produced five Cd\u2019s with Rumbat\u00e1.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>In 2000 he formed the \u2018Jaime Rodriguez Latin Music Ensemble\u2019 to create the programs \u2018From Cuba to Colombia\u2019 and \u2018Noche de Ronda\u2019 with which he toured the Dutch theatres. In 2003 he formed Rumbat\u00e1 Big Band extending his orchestra to 22 musicians to play exclusively Colombian music with modern arrangements based on jazz.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>In 2012 he recorded his album \u201cLa Loma De La Cruz\u201d<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>In 2014<em> \u201cOnce again percussionist Jaime Rodr\u00edguez will revive his legendary latin beat formation Rumbat\u00e1, this time with Dutch musicians of the new generation.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\" elementor-element elementor-element-f34e2d1
